We cannot thank everyone enough for making such a wonderful Christmas for so many this year through ‘Project Christmas blessings’. We are very blessed to have been able to witness the look on faces of happiness and relief that these families had when they received presents for their children. We had one person who received presents cry with joy, it was the first time in 6 years she had received a Christmas present. She could not get over the fact that someone that had never meet her would give her a gift. It was a very touching moment. No family was forgotten only because of all of you that made this possible.

We are so thankful for everyone who cooked turkeys and volunteered their time of Christmas Day to serve, and make sure others had Christmas dinner. We was even able to deliver food to the Police Department and the Fire Department. As they delivered some of these plates they saw a man making a tuna sandwich, he put up the tuna and was glad to receive a Christmas dinner plate instead. It is important to remember those who protect our community and sacrifice their holidays with their families and are on duty and ready to protect our family’s. That’s all thanks to all of you that donated food and money to help cover the cost. We are just so happy to see so many people come together to meet the needs of those in our own backyard. That is Christ Jesus is action. Praise God.

As most of you know the Fire Arm Shop that sits next door to The Victory House caught fire on Christmas morning. It was a blessing that we were still up cooking. A couple of the girls were out back taking a break and were able to call the fire department right away. I know it helped to make a difference on the damage to the building. We offered coffee and whatever we could do to help. What a terrible thing to happen to anyone on Christmas day.

We are not perfect, we are only doing what we feel in our hearts we are called to do. We want to thank everyone who helps to make the Outreach Ministry possible, for those who mentor, those who serve, those who stand beside us and continue to encourage us and those who donate.

We are excited to see what God has in store in the New Year.

We have had a full week last week. Bill spent some time camping this past weekend. Nothing like a few men being around a camp fire in fellowship with like-minded men.

I spent the weekend at the ministry working on getting the clothes closet reorganized. We also worked on moving the freezers and refrigerators to the backroom of the clothes closet. It really was needed for two reasons The first reason is over the last month we have had food being stolen out of the freezers. The second reason is Thanksgiving and Christmas is just around the corner and we need to get the Food pantry back in full swing to meet the food needs of families through the Holidays. We are now taking food donations to get the food pantry stocked up. We are in need of can goods, box food and meats. Hamburger, chicken and pork chops are always items that are in need.

The Grace House remodel is still in process, we are really hoping to have everything completed soon. We have had some great volunteer working hard to get it done right the first time. They have really been doing such a good job. There is still a lot that needs to be done. Please keep us in your prayer as funding has been tight and there is just not enough time in a day. And as always financial sponsors is always welcomed and appreciated to help meet the needs of the overhead cost of keeping this Outreach Sites needs met.

Thank you for your continued prayers and support.

Your Friend in Christ Jesus, Pastor Bill & Tamara Couch
