We have a eighteen year old girl at the house who is expecting a baby in Nov. She is in need of maternity clothes. If you are interested in helping provide clothes for her, she is a size 0 in pants and a med. on shirts. This is a chance for us to help her see the love that Christ Jesus has for her, and we are hoping before she leaves she will have a better understanding of what he has planned for her future.

Gratefully, Tamara

What a great day. So many folks came out to join us on the 2nd Annual Outreach Awareness Day. What a blessing to see so many people come together and sharing the love of Christ Jesus. We played horseshoes, volleyball, had a water balloon toss, listened to some praise music, had a bonfire and roasted some marshmellows. It was great just to be able to enjoy a sunny day with lots of food, and friends. We had Chipotle Chicken on a stick, and Teriyaki Chicken on a stick, Hot Dogs and Hamburgers, with lots of sweets for afterwards.
The Soldiers of Salvation had their second annual charity poker tournament and Jeff Purtee walked away with the 1st place trophy and Joshua Skinner received the 2nd place trophy.

Yard Sale July 2009 Update PDF Print E-mail
Events - Yard Sale
Written by Couch, Tamara
Sunday, 26 July 2009 09:37

We all had a lot of fun at the Yard Sale. The girls where up at 5AM getting everything set up and the guys were there helping. Bill and I feel so blessed to have a great group of people who are always willing to help make a difference in the community.

The Yard Sale helped us to raise money for the Outreach day August 1st. We have alot of people to thank for such a wonderful day, and we are really thankful for everyone who was involved with making this day a success. Some family and friends came by to help and we was able to get alot done.

The guys worked the back lot, getting the fire pit dug and putting in seating. They even moved our prayer rock back by the horse shoe pits. We had a resident name the odd shaped rock the prayer rock after they shared how they spent a lot of time sitting on the rock praying and talking to the Lord, and the name has stuck with the rock over time.

Brian enjoyed being able to using the bobcat to clear the back lot and even removed the old stand up fire pit that had out lived its day. It's something about operating large equipment that just seems to put a smile on a mans face.
Last I heard they were planning on having a fire going tonight to check out the new pit.

We all look forward to next Saturday, the second Annual Outreach Awareness Day, with food, music, food, volleyball, food, horse shoes, food and the 2nd annual Soldiers Of Salvation Poker Night - trophies will be given for 1st and 2nd place winners (no money involved). We will have water balloons for the kids, and even a bonfire. (I forget... did we mention lots of great eating?)

We will be having some give-away items including, a patio set from Home Depot, gas cards, free food certificates from Jersey Mikes, Chick-Fil-A, a gift card from Best Buy, and some other great items you will want to have a chance to win, and no, you don't have to be present to win.

We will also have some new Right Road Ministres T-shirts you will have a chance to pickup while you are there. We sure hope you will have time to come by to enjoy some real fun and fellowship.
