Soldiers of Salvation, a Christianity in Action group, and part of Right Road Ministries, meeting on Friday nights at the Outreach Center, are preparing to go white water rafting on August 30th.. We are currently looking for sponsors to help make this trip possible for those who are unable to pay for the trip themselves. Can you help?
This is a wonderful group of young adults that are walking out their faith. If you are interested in becoming a sponsor please contact Jake Smusz here or Tara Davis here.
Lots of furniture, household items, children's toys, lots of clothes and much, much more.
With a car wash, bake sale, hotdogs and drinks, all proceeds will be going to community outreach efforts.
You don't want to miss this one.
We are raising money to help fund the building project which will enable Right Road Ministries to purchase the property we are currently renting. This includes the Victory House which provides housing for 10 women, and the OutreachCenter which houses 7 men. The OutreachCenter also offers meeting throughout the week.
We not only want to purchase this property, we want to build more housing on site for, single moms and families in need. There is a growing need for affordable housing, and a safe place with a positive atmosphere. With the ability to provide onsite Bible Studies and Christian mentoring, Right Road Ministries is an important part to helping those who struggle to find a new way of life, and the ability to get back on their feet.
We are excited be hosting the 2nd Annual Outreach Awareness Day, August 1st, 10am to 8pm. Everybody is welcome for a day of family fun.
We hope to have a radio station to provide music for part of the day. Also there'll be live music, site tours, Volleyball, horse shoes, water balloons, and Soldiers of Salvation will be having their 2nd annual poker tournament starting at 4pm.
There'll be hamburgers, hotdogs, chic on a stick, and drinks throughout the day with all donations going to help fund the building project for the Outreach Ministry in our efforts to provide more housing for those in need.
If you would like to get involved in helping for this day, please contact Tamara Couch, Jake Smusz, or Jeff Purtee. If you would like to sponsor door prizes, food and other items that will be needed for the day. You can access our 501(c)3 details here.
All proceeds will be going to help those in need in our immediate surrounding communities.
Bill and I really want to thank everyone who attended the 2009 Annual Banquet for Right Road Ministries. What a wonderfully blessed time we had! Below is a quick recap of the event as well as a list of acknowledgements.
The slide show that was showcased during the meal had a lot of pictures of the remodeling work that was done on the Victory House in 2007, before the women could move in. The Outreach Center photos showed all of the work done in early 2009; which is progressing nicely today. Then there were a lot of pictures of the volunteers who have spent their time and talents serving, as well as photos of various meetings, and the Victory House and Outreach Center residence and much more.
There are some many people to thank: Bobby Goines, assistance in the preparation and clean up before and after the event. Seth Hood, sound and lights; without Seth the Benefit would have really been missing the key parts. Beres Bartlett, putting the presentation together; what a great job. Jeff and Kim Purtee, the purchase and preparation of the food. Kim Purtee put the menu together and the food was awesome. Corretta and Jeannie from the Victory House and Susan Dodds worked alongside Kim in the kitchen. Some of the residents helped by serving the food; we are so proud of all their hard work. Tim Patterson, and LifePoint Church for all of their prayer, support and the use of the HUB. Tom and Jennifer Frasier along with people from their small group and some of the youth, helped tremendously in the kitchen, serving, and clean up. Kris Marbaugh, the beautiful centerpieces. Jeff Mercer and Jennifer Hamilton, videotaping the event. Charles Brooks, a resident of the Outreach Center sang at the benefit and it really blessed all of us with his amazing talent. I can guarantee you will get a chance to hear him sing again due to an overwhelming number of requests. We are happy to have Jake Smusz the Founder and Leader of Soldiers of Salvation, as MC for the evening. He has really become the son we have never had. Tara Davis the Women's Leader for Soldiers of Salvation opened the evening with a prayer over the food. We are so blessed to have a daughter so on fire for the Lord Jesus. Bud Harmon shared how he met Bill before the ministry got started and how he has watched the Lord Jesus grow the ministry over the years. LifePoint Church for all of their prayer and support over the years.
As a body, there are many members, without all of you this Banquet would not have been possible. This large event took many people’s time, talent and finances and we thank all of you from the bottom of our hearts. Thank you for standing with us as we stand hand in hand to do God’s work.
The most touching part of the evening was the cardboard testimonies. I'm not so sure there was a dry eye in the house. We just know God is good, and this is the reason that we must keep sharing the word and love of Christ Jesus. We do not know what God has planned for this ministry next, we just know the number of people needing safe housing and a fresh start grows daily. We are honored to be able to serve in God Ministry, and in his will and we look forward to being able to provide more housing and guidance to those in need.
Thank you again for all of your love, support and prayers!
Your Friends in Christ Jesus, Pastor Bill and Tamara Couch
