The Ministry Benefit Dinner is coming up on June 13th.. Tickets are now ready to be purchased. The tickets are $20.00 a seat with 6 seats at a table. There is 40 tables and we still have 21 table to be filled. Our target goal is to have all tickets sold by the 31st of May. If you are interested in purchasing a table please contact either Bill or Tamara.
The goal of the Benefit Dinner is to share what the Outreach Ministry is all about, from the beginning, to the present, and our future vision. There will also be testimonies shared and wonderful inspiration from our very own resident songbird Charles. We would love to see you there.
Also we are in need of raising some money to help cover food cost. We already have $700.00 donated toward the food for the Dinner, but we are still needing to raise $900.00 for the rest. If you are interested in donating for the purchase of the food please contact Kim Purtee. Kim is going to be cooking the food and organizing the serving of the dinner.
Corretta and Jennie for The Victory House are putting together a fund raiser to help raise money for the Ministry Benefit Dinner by having a Yard Sales, with Hotdogs and hamburgers to be sold at the Yard sale.
They are planning on having the yard sale on May 23rd from 8am to 2pm at the Outreach Center.
If you would like to donate some items for the yard sale please call Corretta or Jennie at The Victory House @ 615-793-2118.
We just had a two groups of Junior High Kids that came to The Victory House to do a service project. They painted inside the house, did some landscaping to the outside of the house, and helped in the clothes closet. There was a group that came out early in the morning and another group that came out after lunch. They really did a wonderful job and we were really blessed to see their wiliness to reach out into the community to serve others in need.
We would like to thank all of them and everyone that helped put this together. What a blessing to have these young people take time out of their weekends to service the community. They really help to set an example to others on the meaning of ministry work starts in our own community. The landscaping looks great, the painting looks awesome and the work that was done in clothes closet really was such a blessing.
Thank you all for your hard work and your Love of Christ Jesus.
We also want to thank David and Chris for their leadership and dedication to teach Christ Jesus in these young peoples lives.
I would also like to apologize to the second group who's pictures did not make it on this email.
There will be a PowerPoint presentation with a voice telling the history of Right Road Ministry, how it was started, and step by step showing the growth of the ministry, and the future plans for the Ministry. It will be a great way to answer everyone's question about what the Ministry is all about.
There will also be a slide show with pictures of ministry events and other events that the ministry has been involved with that will be rotating during dinner. I think it would be a good visual to put faces to the ministry and show the interaction, and the outreach efforts that is happening. It would also show the different people who have volunteered with the ministry.
We will have testimonies, which will be done as cardboard testimonies.. I do not know if you have ever seen cardboard testimonies, but it is powerful. I would like to have christian music playing while this is going on.
Bill will close things up with a message of hope and purpose.
Time frame of the event is 1.5 hours.
I am open to ideas.. Its been a while since I have put together a special event, and I will need help getting everything put together. If there is someone that can help with equipment for the powerpoint presentation and the slide show, we will also need help in the kitchen with cooking and serving a homestyle meal for the event, and we would like to have someone to possible film the event so we can download to the web site. If you know of anyone who might be interested in helping with this event, please contact Tamara Couch here.
We want to thank Syble Pedigo and everyone from South Gate Baptist Church that put together donations that were delivered to the Outreach Center today. There were clothes, shampoo, conditioner and many other items. The women of the Victory House was excited about everything that was brought today. Thanks again for helping to meet the growing needs of this Ministry.
The Lord has been putting it on my heart to put together a benefit dinner for the Ministry. The dinner will consist of music, testimonies. and a message of hope and purpose.. If you know of a place that would be interested in hosting this for Right Road Ministries, please let me know.. As you know the lease purchase option for the Victory House is comes due in April and we would like to be able to purchase of this property, if it is the Lords will.
We would also like to be able to host a white water rafting trip for the Soldiers Of Salvation this summer. We are excited to see how the Lord Jesus is bringing up future leaders to spread the word of God ( the young adult group that meets at the Outreach Center on Friday nights.) We see this group as the Joshua Generation, and we are so excited for them and we feel so blessed to have so many that are hungry to find and grow their purpose in Christ Jesus. We will be working on getting them into the Juvenile detention Center to ministry to troubled youth, and we will continue to mentor them as they continue to grow in the Lord Jesus.
Please keep us in your prayers as we continue to serve the Lord Jesus by reaching out into the community to share the love of Christ Jesus with others.
