I wanted to let everyone know the family that needed help had all their needs supplied. Thanks to Ray King from Helping Hands Ministries who covered their water bill and everyone that got involved to cover the rest of the needs. Praise God..
I also wanted to thank everyone who has brought by formula for the baby and clothes for the baby. I have a new needs list for another family who has a newborn Boy that is 16 days old.
As always we thank everyone for their on going support for Right Road Ministries, As most of you know we have been on a 2 year lease to purchase contract on the property at the Victory House and as of April 2009 this lease will expire, the owners have stated they will not make us move but are in hopes of being able to purchase this property, and the adjoining property that the Outreach Center is located. Our vision is to build onto the site to add more housing. We ask that you stand with us in prayer for the provisions to continue the Lords ministry to serve the community.
A Big THANK YOU! to every one that came to the Outreach Center to welcome Susie Jennings. Susie shared her testimony of her husband committing suicide and how God comforted her and lead her outside her comfort zone and into a life of serving others. Susie started her ministry by providing blankets to the homeless and she became known as the
blanket Lady. Now God has grown the Ministry to being able to assist 1000's of homeless people in Texas.
We were very blessed to have some people from different Ministry there, Don Bartlett (Beres), and Dan Belbeck founders of Way Stations were there. Both Beres and Dan have been very active in feeding the homeless in the Nashville area for some time now. Beres is very active in Right Road Minsitries and we are very blessed to call him our friend.
Jake Smusz the leader of Soldiers Of Salvation was there also, and Jeff Mercer who shares the word of God at the Work House in Murfreesboro. We are blessed to have Jake and Jeff both very active in Right Road Ministry. There were a lot of others who are active in the Outreach Ministry that came out to hear Susie Jennings and we are so thankful for all of you.
We were very happy to have the chance to meet some new friends. We got to meet Jennifer & Mike Esteswith Born To Win,who have a heart to helping others, Paige Armstrongwith I Shine Ministry which reaches out to the youth, and Tricia Hegna that is with Reaching International that assist with programs that benefits the community.
Please go on line to learn more about these Ministries.
Friday night after Kathy, Linda and I got back from the Miracle Baptist woman\'s Valentine party we stopped by to sit in on Jakes Smusz's Friday night bible study at the Center, boy what a wonderful message. Its such a blessing to see Soldiers Of Salvation growing every week, and to see so many people really hungry to learn about Gods word. Jake is a wonderful teacher and we are very blessed to have him as part of the Right Road Ministry leadership team.
Bill was out of town Friday for a men's retreat, so I decided to spend the night with the girls at the Victory House. We were up early, Coretta cooking breakfast for everyone, some getting off to work, and others starting their chores around the house. Kathy and I went shopping to get everything we needed to start our valentine’s project. By that time Roni and Coretta was off to do the weekly grocery shopping.
The guys had finished a special project for one of the neighbors before they even ate breakfast, and then they started working on getting drywall up in the men\'s bedrooms. They have been working really hard to get the bedroom projects completed, and they are doing a great job. Then around 1:00pm we sit down and started working on getting the table centers put together for the Valentines party at Peachtree Nursing home that Ginger has signed us up to host next Saturday. This will be our first month of a 12 month commitment we have made to Peachtree Nursing Home to come out once a month to fellowship with the residents. We was thrilled to have Carol from Life Point come by to help, and Julie who use to live at the Victory House came by to help also. We really had alot of fun making the center pieces. I can\'t wait to see the finished prouct once the balloons are added to them.
We also got some scratch and sniff choc scented valentine cards to give to the residents and Jock, Jamie and Roni put scripture on the back of each valentine.
I have included a couple of pictures of the Friday night bible study and some of the day at the Center.
