Bill went to a men's retreat this weekend and I had a couple of the women from the Victory House over for a girls night. We ate strawberries dipped in chocolate and some other things that really did not help my diet, but it was a lot of fun. It was great to have a little one on one time with a couple of the girls. I have been trying to do that more, because I know it is important for them. It also helps me to get to know them better.
Bill got back late last night and when we got up this morning we found out that our cars along with several of our neighbors had been broke into during the night. Bills wallet had been stolen, and of course it was the first time Bill has ever left his wallet in the car. With the long drive back and carrying in his bags somehow he had forgotten about his wallet. After checking with the bank, their records showed by 6:33am this morning we had been hit hard with withdraws. Not just on our personal account by also the Ministry account. Somehow I did not feel shaken by this. Of course I knew the bank will reimburse us, so it will only be a short time before things are credited back. It is probably going to be a bigger pain for Bill to get his ID's replaced. I could not help to wonder what the thief's thought as they noticed one of the cards they were using said Pastor on it, and showed the Ministries name. I also wondered if that's why they did not hit the Ministries account as hard as ours. I know the store has them on camera and the police now have their finger prints. I ask Bill if the thieves asked him for help would he be willing to help them. Of course I already knew the answer and he laughed and said 'yes he would even be willing to offer them a home at the Outreach Center'. I think that would be a wonderful testimony to Sheppard the very ones that stole from you. I know it would be highly unlikely that we would have the opportunity to ministry to those people, but I do believe God's glory will be seen in the midst of this. I also love the fact my husband loves God more then anything the world has to offer. I know I am truly blessed. Your Sister in Christ Jesus, Tamara Couch
